Mumbra police have arrested a 28-year-old man allegedly killing a 13-year-old boy in Diva. The police said that accused Dashrath Kakde and the deceased were neighbours, Kakde was irked with the boy as he used to spit besides his chawl tenement and abuse him.

Maha: Civic polls can be held only after monsoon, SEC tells SC

Polls to key municipal corporations including Mumbai, Pune, Thane and Nashik are set to be delayed till the end of September, with the state election commission (SEC) submitting an affidavit in Supreme Court saying that the time taken to prepare for the polls will stretch till June, by which time the monsoon will begin.
