IndiGo fined Rs 1.2cr, Mumbai airport Rs 90L for allowing flyers to sit, eat on apron

Under aviation security norms, the airport operator and airline are responsible for the safe movement of passengers on the apron. Mumbai airport failed to report the incident to BCAS and submitted a false statement about the deployment of security officials. Fines were imposed after studying the replies to the showcause notices.
