Maharashtra government approves tendering process for private investors to develop resorts and lands at tourist hotspots including Tadoba tiger reserve, Mithbav beach, Harihareshwar beach, Mahabaleshwar hill station, Matheran hill station, Fardapur near Ajanta caves, and Ganpatipule beach. The state had previously decided to lease out lands for expansion of tourism facilities. The high power committee will choose the best options and decide on time period and concessions for developers in a public private partnership.
