Mumbai Air Pollution: Soon, dust monitoring and mitigation systems at JVLR jn

The BMC in Mumbai will be installing outdoor dust mitigation units (ODMU) and a dust monitoring system (DMS) under the JVLR flyover in response to pollution-related complaints. The units will be equipped with HEPA filters and other components to effectively filter out pollutants. The DMS will trigger the ODMU to clean the air within a 50-meter radius when the air quality index changes from good to moderate. The installation of these units will cost approximately Rs 65 lakh.
