A 50-year-old developer has been sentenced to three years in prison for cheating flat purchasers in a redeveloped building in Byculla, Mumbai. The developer, Rizwan Dadan, was found guilty of misappropriating nearly Rs 11 crore and not handing over possession of the flats to the buyers. He was also fined Rs 50,000, which will be given to the complainant as compensation. Another accused in the case is currently absconding.
