11-yr-old youngest in country to undergo hip replacement

An 11-year-old girl in Mumbai became the youngest person in the country to undergo a hip replacement surgery due to a rare joint disease. Farzana Khatoon had been in severe pain for the past two years and was unable to move. After being misdiagnosed and put on tuberculosis treatment for a year, she was finally diagnosed with idiopathic chondrolysis of the hip. The surgery was successful, and Farzana is now able to walk without pain.
