Drug kingpin was Sena's Nashik chief when held in '20: Fadnavis

Lalit Patil, the alleged drug racket kingpin recently arrested by Mumbai police, was the Nashik president of the Shiv Sena when he was first arrested in December 2020. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis claimed that Patil was given police custody but immediately admitted to a hospital without any interrogation. Fadnavis also mentioned that there are several issues related to the case, but he would not comment on them immediately. Patil's escape triggered allegations of a nexus behind an organised drug racket.
