Cases of 'unusual' fever and full-body rash reported in city

An unusual fever with perplexing symptoms, including a full-body rash, is affecting many people in Mumbai. The fever lasts for 4-5 days with temperatures between 99 and 102 degrees. Patients are testing negative for common culprits like dengue and malaria. The rash appears on the 4th or 5th day and lasts for 1.5 to 2 days. The fever is accompanied by sensations of heaviness in the eyes, persistent headaches, and sleeplessness. Medical reports show a drop in white blood cell counts and increased levels of inflammatory markers. Experts recommend conducting molecular tests for a more accurate diagnosis.
