Mom who gave up child can't object to custody for dad: HC

The Bombay High Court has ruled in favor of granting custody of a child to his biological father. The court stated that once the mother had voluntarily surrendered the child to the Child Welfare Committee, she could not object to the father's custody. The father had filed a habeas corpus petition to secure custody of his child, who was born after he and his girlfriend eloped. The court rejected the mother's objections, stating that there was no legal reason to deny custody to the father.
