Maha portfolios: Ajit Pawar has his way, Fadnavis loses sway

Nearly a fortnight after the Ajit Pawar group of NCP joined the Shiv Sena-BJP government, CM Eknath Shinde allocated portfolios with newly inducted deputy CM Ajit getting the crucial finance department. Other key portfolios obtained by his faction are cooperation, which has gone to veteran NCP leader Dilip Walse-Patil; food and civil supplies, which has been given to Chhagan Bhujbal; agriculture, which will be held by Dhananjay Munde; and medical education, given to Hasan Mushrif.
