IIT-Bombay told to recruit experts to guide 'backward class' pupils

National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) has directed Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) to recruit expert counsellors from an ST background in the student welfare centre, to provide details on the ST population on campus, to encourage backward category students to take up masters and PhD programmes.
