IIT-B to evaluate 258 adaptive traffic signals

A section of the city's traffic control network will get an upgrade after 15 years. The BMC has roped in IIT Bombay to evaluate 258 fully adaptive traffic control (FATC) system signals in the city and measure parameters such as traffic volume, travel time, speed and queue length with and without the existing system.
