At 37.1°C, Thursday was hottest day in Mum so far

Summer heat has begun in the city. On Thursday, the city recorded maximum temperature of 37.1 degrees Celsius. It was also the highest maximum temperature to be recorded this year. This was a sharp increase as compared to a day ago when maximum temperature recorded by IMD Santacruz observatory was 34.3 degrees. IMD officials said the spike was due to the delayed sea breeze and easterly winds.
