2.2L in Maha seek payout for 1.4L Covid deaths

The Maharashtra government has so far received 2.2 lakh applications from family members of deceased Covid-19 patients for ex gratia payment of Rs 50,000 each. As on Tuesday morning. though, Covid deaths recorded in the state totalled 1,42,151.
