2,200 police families in BDD chawls to get flats

Around 2,200 police families in BDD chawls will get 500 sq ft flats for Rs 15 lakh each. These are part of 2,900 police quarters owned by the Mumbai Police commissioner. The balance 900 flats will be handed over to the commissioner.

BMC had Rs 3k cr in property tax to collect, says CAG

The comptroller and auditor general (CAG) of India has said property tax collection had a low efficiency of 53% across urban local bodies (ULBs) in Maharashtra from fiscal 2015-16 to 2019-20, and the BMC was among the worst performers with collection touching barely 28%.
